Rachel’s background is in art, interior design and spiritual studies. She grew up in Virginia and has lived in Northeast Florida most of her adult life where she returned five years ago after a sojourn in New York. While in New York she studied with Mimi Schiff who was a student of Hans Hoffman. She also studied with Jan Yates in Ontario and was influenced by the Canadian Group of Seven. Rachel had a studio at the Niagara Arts and Cultural Center where she created along side Native American, expressionistic, abstract and realistic artists. 2010 One Woman Show, Niagara Arts & Cultural Center, Niagara Falls. 2011, 2012 Professional Artists of St. Augustine 2013 SECCA members show @ Hollingsworth Gallery, Palm Coast. 2013Flagler County Art League's All about Light Best of Show & First Place in Mixed 2014 Ocala's Appleton Museum's "A Toast to the Arts" show. 2015 Featured in Emerging National Artists section of Southwest Art Magazine. Flagler County Artist of the Year disctinction given by Gargiulo Art Foundation. 2016 Psalms in Partnership Project, Hadera Israel. Exhibit moved from Israel to the Southeastern US & is currently in Chattanooga, TN. Bridging the exterior landscape with the interior: "The beauty of our interior world can be expressed in what we surround ourselves with. Likewise, the beauty of our surroundings can enhance and evoke our genuine nature within."
